As the Prefect of Chania, I would like to welcome all athletes and officials participating in the J24 European Championship and wish them the best success in the races and a great stay in our beautiful prefecture. It’s a good opportunity for this exciting sport to gain more friends in Chania and for Souda to develop into a center of athletic activity.

The 2009 J/24 European Championship welcomes all participants. Crews that want to participate can preregister for the championship through this website. In order for the registration process to be successfully completed, the following steps should be taken:

1. Register with the j24euro2009.iox.gr website: Click on Register from the menu at the top of the page and complete all required fields. This process will create a unique username and password that you can use again to review and update your information. Only crew captains have to register, providing information for the boat and the rest of the crew.

Souda Bay Nautical Club features a safe environment and the necessary infrastructure in berthing tens of ships of all types. It also features building installations capable to support sailing events of any given magnitude.
